DAF CARS: THE 44 MODEL
Interior details of the DAF 44: the spacious boot, the front seats and the sporty steering wheel.
The DAF 44 was available as
standard Sedan, Sedan Luxe, a stationcar and as a panel van. This picture shows the 1971
stationcar version of the 44, which was quite modern in its day.
Some details of the stationcar. The boot measured 125 x 85 x 86 cm and the rear seats could be folded down, enlarging the luggage space to an impressive 125 x 135 x 86 cm. The picture on the right shows the front seat arrangement of the station car. Seatbelts were not very common in the early seventies, but DAF wanted to make driver safety a selling point.
